What Darshan is

Darshan is an interactive voice experience where you can speak with an AI persona of Krishna grounded in the Bhagavad Gita. It's built for reflection and contemplation — a quiet space where you can think out loud and hear the Gita's teachings back.

What Darshan is NOT

  • Not a religious authority.Krishna's voice here is generated by a language model; it represents neither a guru, an ordained teacher, nor a temple. It is a tool for personal reflection, not a substitute for the guidance of a real teacher.
  • Not medical, mental-health, or legal advice. If you're facing a crisis, please contact a qualified professional. iCall (+91 9152987821) and Vandrevala Foundation (+91 1860-2662-345) are free Indian helplines.
  • Not a record-keeper. Conversations are ephemeral by design — see the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Darshan. If you're under 18, please use it with the awareness of a parent or guardian.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account. Keep your Google credentials safe — anyone with access to your Google account can use minutes you've purchased. Tell us at support@krishnadarshan.live if you suspect unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

Don't use Darshan to:

  • Threaten, harass, or harm other people, including with content generated through the app.
  • Attempt to bypass entitlement checks, manipulate token usage, or otherwise abuse the service.
  • Reverse engineer the API or scrape responses at scale to build a derivative service.
  • Submit content involving minors in any sexualized or unsafe context.
  • Violate Indian law or the laws of the country you're using Darshan from.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these rules.

Minutes and payments

  • New users get a small free trial so they can hear Krishna once before being asked to pay.
  • Beyond that, calls are paid via UPI. You pay through your UPI app and submit the UPI transaction ID for verification. We typically credit your account within an hour.
  • Minute packs do not expire. Unlimited plans are valid for the duration shown at purchase.
  • Refunds: if a payment was made but minutes were not credited within 48 hours, email us at support@krishnadarshan.livewith the UPI transaction ID and we'll either credit the minutes or refund the payment to the UPI ID it came from. Once minutes are credited, all sales are final.

AI-generated content

Krishna's replies are generated by a large language model. They will sometimes be wrong, oversimplified, or out of date. Verses are quoted from a real corpus of the Bhagavad Gita and the app verifies citations before showing them, but translations and commentary are paraphrased and may not match any specific scholarly edition. Use Darshan as a starting point, not as ground truth.

Service availability

Darshan depends on third-party providers (Cerebras, Groq, Jina, Supabase, Vercel). Outages from any of them may cause Darshan to be temporarily unavailable. We'll do what we reasonably can to keep the site up but cannot guarantee uptime.

Disclaimers and liability

Darshan is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of Darshan is limited to the amount you have paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Termination

You can stop using Darshan at any time and request account deletion (see the Privacy Policy). We can suspend or end your account if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be handled by courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by updating the "Last updated" date and, when significant, by a banner on next sign-in.
